SchemaForge is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your data is yours alone, and we've designed our tool to work entirely in your browser without collecting or storing your personal information.

What Data We Collect

None - Local Storage Only

SchemaForge stores all your generated schemas and history locally in your browser using IndexedDB. This means:

• No server storage: Your schemas never leave your device
• Complete privacy: We cannot access your data
• You control everything: Export, import, or delete your data at any time
• No accounts required: Use the tool without signing up or providing personal information

AI Feature Disclosure

When you explicitly use the "AI Suggest" feature:

• What is sent: Only the URL or content you provide for analysis
• Where it goes: Vercel AI Gateway (routes to OpenAI GPT models)
• Purpose: To analyze your content and suggest appropriate schema fields
• Retention: No permanent storage by SchemaForge - processed transiently
• Opt-in only: AI features are optional; you can use manual forms instead
• Daily limits: 5 AI assists per day to prevent abuse

Analytics & Performance Monitoring

We use privacy-focused analytics to understand usage patterns and monitor performance:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Anonymous page views and referrer tracking (no cookies, no personal identifiers)
• Vercel Analytics: Page load performance and Core Web Vitals (no user identification)
• What we track: Page views, performance metrics (aggregated, anonymous)
• What we DON'T track: Your actual schema content, personal information, or cross-site behavior
• Purpose: To improve the tool and ensure it performs well

How We Use Your Data

Since your data stays in your browser, we don't "use" your data in any traditional sense:

• Schema history: Stored in your browser's IndexedDB for your convenience
• Preferences: UI settings stored locally (theme, favorites, etc.)
• No sharing: We never sell, share, or transmit your data to third parties
• No profiling: We don't build user profiles or track cross-site behavior

Your Data Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Export: Download your schema history as JSON from the History page
• Import: Transfer your data between devices using export/import
• Delete: Clear all history from the History page or browser settings
• No account deletion needed: Since we don't have accounts, there's nothing to delete on our end

Cookies

SchemaForge uses minimal cookies:

• Essential cookies: For basic functionality (theme preference)
• No tracking cookies: We don't use third-party tracking cookies
• No advertising cookies: No behavioral advertising or retargeting

Third-Party Services

When you use certain features, data may be processed by:

• Vercel AI Gateway / OpenAI (AI Suggest feature only) - See Vercel and OpenAI
• Ahrefs Web Analytics (anonymous analytics) - See their privacy policy
• Vercel (hosting & analytics) - See their privacy policy

Data Security

Your data security is ensured by:

• Client-side storage: Data never leaves your device (except when using AI features)
• HTTPS encryption: All connections are encrypted
• No centralized database: Nothing to hack or breach
• Browser security: Protected by your browser's same-origin policy

Children's Privacy

SchemaForge does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our service is designed for SEO professionals, developers, and content creators.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
